The thing about the first RoboCop film, though, is that it is literally perfect, bar one tiny silly effect. Although I think that has been rendered charming with age and thus the film is actually still perfect.

They also did not do a great job establishing the connection of the characters. The moods and attitudes shift a lot. Especially on Kris. The overall story is weak and half of it is never explained. Then that ending was pointless and a bit confusing.

Look, they were trying here. This didn't feel like a quick cash grab or just a fleeting thought made form. That being said this was not very good. The decisions made were almost universally dumb. I can take a few in a serious movie but they kept adding on.
