Finished up running Desert Perpetual (I'm giving the expansion a shot since they went back on a lot of things I didn't like, and are improving some things I do like) to get an SMG, and wow got my first Tier 5 (I haven't been playing since hitting 300 and also do not care about the power grind)

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Beyond disappointed to learn that Arc Raiders, like The Finals before it, uses AI voice acting.
So many iconic game voice work is little vendor greetings, and to farm that out to a machine is a hollow admission of a lack of care.
I know a thousand actors who would have done better for buttons.

minor update to this: I've basically beaten the game (doing the fuckton of side quests at the end) and yep, still fun.
I'm also seeing a ton of people getting in to Digimon now, which I'm happy about, I highly recommend Cyber Sleuth if you want something like Time Stranger, but cheaper

Playing the new Digimon game (it's very good! I recommend it (so far) if you enjoyed Cyber Sleuth!) and the base costume keeps making me think of Kamen Rider and like... some VERY good classic anime outfits, so even though it's kinda goofy I'm here for it lol

like, we didn't have nearly this many issues having to work around COVID and setting up at home PCs for people, that's how awful this shit is.
