Related, NANA shareholders have been doing similar protests. I am glad that shareholders in ANCSA corporations are pushing back against working with detention centers.

NANA Regional Corp. is supposed to uphold Iñupiat values. Some shareholders say its role in Trump’s deportation machinery makes a mockery of that.

Old WWII military sites still affect daily life in Unalaska — residents are changing what they hunt, fish and eat due to lingering contamination.
Unalaskans are changing their subsistence practices due to WWII contamination
Residents reported changing where they pick berries and plants, and where they hunt birds and fish. Some have stopped harvesting salmon and marine invertebrates entirely.
