YES, grid-tied solar PV battery systems in Ireland CAN be installed with an isolation switch so they can be operated off-grid in case of storms or other outages.

Safe Electric: "off-grid backup systems can be installed as long as it is done safely by a registered contractor."

We analyse 35 global indicators, 2000-2022. Median results show sluggish progress in ending human deprivation, which must *speed up fivefold* to meet global goals by 2030, while rapid ecological damage must *reverse at nearly twice the current pace* to safeguard a stable planet by mid-century. 2/
