These are all cool, but they aren’t energy storage. I mean: I store energy somehow and you move it easily to whoever you want to use or sell. You set yourself up dangerously by selling fixed power. Like in 🇨🇦, what happens when 🇺🇸 needs more hydro and we are at max output? They will take it by force.

So to me the direction the puck is going for 🇨🇦 is solar and wind for us, but selling that tech as well as LNG and someday SMR’s (we lead in development). We can lower the carbon rates by offsetting global dependence on just oil & coal. But always exporting them to maintain our own wealth & security

I know that one, and i get your point; but energy stability is key to market stability. The world trades in US 💵, not because we like them. It’s because even after WW3 they will likely still be chugging along. You can’t say the same for Europe. So as a place to invest money for decades…..

Absolutely agree there. Humans live short brutal lives in constant pain. Emotional or physical. Drugs (and booze, its also a drug) are a problem because frailty is our curse. So entire nations in poverty, or defeated in war; all live in misery and people sadly turn to drugs to numb their despair.

The world is driven by oil prices & coal before that & LNG going forward. Because it can be put on a boat & shipped to market somewhere else. That’s where power comes from. Simply put, nobody can build an empire with solar energy that they can’t sell so they won’t waste their time. Oil IS POWER.

Energy storage doesn’t exist. The US energy grid is the most advanced in the world and it’s simply layered energy to keep power bumps from collapsing the grid. Coal/nuclear/LNG etc. They basically provide 8 times the energy required, so everyone can flick their lights on & not blackout their cities.

Eventually either all data will become too expensive & AI will always pay more & more for it, or rivals will trick you into buying & feeding your AI inaccurate data making it less valuable to your customers as error rates increase. It’s here to stay, but it’s mostly hype, but that’s just my opinion.

Well expert systems have a use today in hospitals, but they were the last great AI hype train and it ran out of investment gas too. In the end nobody wanted to hand the power of their company over to the guy who could fix the expert system. Or not fix it. AI is only as good as its data. So IMO….

Same in 🇨🇦. All our own professionals go to 🇺🇸, & then come home with fortunes to retire in old age. We take in the best that we can find to replace them & it has worked out very well despite what the right wing media wants people to believe. Only the smartest thrive here & most leave with a degree.

I like the idea of taxing anyone for every 💵 over a billion at like 95%. That would incentivize them to invest all extra cash to get more back at the end of the year. So they will buy other companies, build stuff, upgrade assets etc just to keep more of it. The rest goes back into the system.

He’s about 5 years from his first bypass at that size. Hope it was worth it when he can’t find a doctor. Remember, for every brown person working a menial job some company didn’t want to pay even minimum wage for that gets deported, an educated brown person (like doctors) quietly moves to 🇨🇦.

Unions built the middle class. The oligarchy that is sweeping 🇺🇸 into rich & poor is because their minimum wage didn’t go up to match cost of living since the 1970’s, but 🇨🇦 did. How? Unions striking like at 🇨🇦 post! Who got 🇨🇦’s maternity leave? Striking 🇨🇦 post workers! Privatize them? Fuck you!

AI is just advanced statistics. The adjustable wrench didn’t make mechanics obsolete & AI won’t kill the working class. But a pure capitalist society that won’t adopt anything remotely socialistic, no matter how helpful; may suffer a lot from AI with high unemployment?

For a good example of the hydro scam look up the story of Alcoa corporation in Iceland. They even went so far as suppressing a geologic report about a proposed hydro dam until it was completed. Then it came out that it was directly on top of a fault line and likely to crack in an earthquake.

The silt build up alone redirects the river, & drops the output over time forcing you to build another dam that will take another generation to pay off etc. It’s a generational Ponzi scheme, where the Hydro corp hires the ex mayor of one town to promote a new dam idea to the mayor of the next town.

I agree that pure capitalism is as bad as pure socialism, but that’s why 🇨🇦 wisely borrowed the best of both.

I’m not saying LNG is literally clean, i mean in relative terms to the alternatives. For instance hydro is “clean” but so detrimental to the environment that it’s not worth it in the end.

I admire your dedication to trying the legitimate way of change in a democratic society. I truly hope it works and some laws are changed to prevent this from happening again. I’m no socialist but i think “No more billionaires” is just as important as “No more kings”. Mega tax the mega rich!!!
