Journalists need to follow up these statements with - What are you willing to give Trump for a no tariff deal?

#cdnpoli #bcpi
As ususal, PP and the CONs offer nothing, no fresh ideas, no alternative plan that makes any sense whatsoever. The 2006 softwood lumber deal wasn't renewed for a reason, you ninny. The USA didn't want it anymore - so that ship has sailed. See link below to analysis of the deal. #cdnpoli

There are now 9 MLAs who are facing a recall petition - it will be interesting to see how many more are submitted.

PM @mark-carney.bsky.social had a successful visit to the UAE with a 70 billion trade deal. Another step toward strong, global trade alliances. Agreement is signed, with details to be negotiated and upcoming planned visits in both directions. Bravo!
We’re building big things, and the UAE wants to build with us.

They’re going to invest $70 billion in Canada — putting money into key sectors like critical minerals, AI, and clean energy. This will create thousands of new careers, enable critical research, and help build a stronger economy.

I’m not impressed with AI’s answer

Has AI come up with solutions beyond summarizing information and writing documents for us?

Right on cue … The US economy starts to crack before Christmas &Trump’s supporters start to flee the sinking ship

Fox’s polling shows 76 per cent of U.S. voters have a negative view of the economy and blame Mr. Trump

Will JD have Trump removed or is MAGA still Trump?

Does anyone else have an issue with the Americanization of the headline?

In Canada we don’t have Purple in our politics we call them Red Tories

Is there Blue Liberals? I don’t think so

We need to call out the @theglobeandmail.com and other CDN media when they Americanize our language

The project, supported by a $670 million provincial loan, is expected to create up to 1,000 jobs

I'm trying to remember...

What was the catastrophic story about the Ozone layer and what was going to happen if we didn't save it?
I'm watching old shows...

Remember when...

We were focused on saving the Ozone Layer? Ever wonder if we did?

What about when AIDS was a death sentence and people were scared of anyone who had HIV?

When famine was killing kids in Africa?

What Occam’s Daughter says

My career started during freetrade and at a time of offshoring with a huge spike in layoffs

Canada would have been better off without US interests dictating what we could build and what we couldn’t

Trump is a gift for Canada’s future success it woke us up
I'm old enough to remember who we were before free trade brought US dependence, cultural Americanization, brain drain, and CDN companies bought out by US ones and moved south.

I remember when we were a science and research powerhouse.

A new Canada can be rooted in the best of what we once were.

Sounds like the surgeons in Ontario need to hire a pit bull of a bill collector to deal with Ford’s policies

Canadians don’t have private insurance to cover in Hospital surgery

How is this supposed to work?
“We aren’t doing research. We aren’t calling patients [or] advancing patient care. We’re just devoting time to arguing with the Ministry of Health. That’s not the way surgeons should be spending their time.”

Sylvia Jones & Doug Ford should be fired.
