This is who she was.
Passionate in her beliefs. Fiercely loyal to her friends. Never afraid to let you know exactly where she stood. The best.

Fun Fact: I remember arguing with her over which of us hated Piggy the most. I was sure I did. She disagreed. It remains unresolved...
Carrie Fisher was the blueprint.
Protect your people. Call out the predators.

My fave game at No Quarter: Ride a Citibike thru 3D low-poly NYC to a destination while audience checks Google map to tell you which way to go. The ride is more parkour than Tour de France, climbing walls and obstacles, and defying physics.

Following Epstein? Wondering about other serial predators?

Sgt. Kleffman: “How many female victims do you think have come forward?”

Bruckelmyer: “One, two, three.”

He insisted they made no attempt to hide Massie and encouraged victims to go to law enforcement....“We don’t protect either one.”

It's an enticing cattle call for space nuts (like me).

The hitch: you must be a multimedia social media maven with a "unique audience" and travel at your own expense to Florida. Launch date isn't 100% guaranteed. (I had a chance to do this as a journalist in the shuttle years and regret not going.)
Here's an opportunity to visit NASA and attend the launch of the Artemis II mission to the Moon. Non-US citizens can apply. 🔭 🧪 www.nasa.gov/general/expe...

The part where they threatened to break a judge’s car windows should be a bigger story … they feel comfortable treating judges this way, which means they are being told that they can do literally anything to nearly everyone

Providence, R.I.

ICE tries to seize high school kid intern. He's shaken up. Superior Court Judge Joseph McBurney offers to take the lad home.

ICE agents surround judge’s car, threaten to smash the windows. They cuff the kid.

Coincidentally protest unfolds.

Much arguing. Outcome? Oops, wrong guy.

It's been years since I went to the NYU Game Center playtest Thurs, and it's amazing how much it's grown and slicked up.

Open to the public, tables and testers filled the room, and I was happy to see at least a few tabletop games and a very cool, retro radio video game.

Love love LOVE the alt-tree interpretations.

This would be such a great creative writing exercise for a class or workshop. I imagine kids would absolutely ace it.
THREAD. A collection of photographs of excellent trees I have met on walks.

You will find the captions to each photo in the alt text.

Enjoyed this event! Always energizing to see new faces and connect with game friends from Gumbo, NYU, IGDA, and all kinds of other game hubs around the city.

Geez, I even met a pair of accountants and a financial adviser blending in nicely with the tech + creative crowd.
