i think mh wilds is a good example of this bc its updates kinda lack a consistent direction and moreso just going off the internet so they added a new quest level bc of people complaining the game is too easy but this made previously intended endgame stuff outclassed and powercrept
One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

On this day in 2021, 4 years ago, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl were first released. These games were faithful remakes of the original Diamond & Pearl and featured a HD chibi look at the Sinnoh games

i get why this is common consensus but ppl being like "the steam controller is kinda ugly but the functionality is great!" makes me shake my head. i think it looks beautiful. shes so unique and tall. the thumbsticks look shiny gorgeous. the slight rotation on the trackpads is so playful.
