Collected a few ramp seeds from a big healthy patch to propagate in like October. Was doing the warm moist stratification when I noticed one em had sprouted early (before cold strat). Planted in a lil pot and a couple weeks later;

How do foxes use “magnetoreception” to help them hunt?
Studies of red foxes “mousing” show a bias toward mousing in the direction of magnetic north — and that when foxes pounce toward north, they are ~ 4 times more successful! And other stuff that I don’t have enough characters for!!

Update on Mystery Substance: Yesterday we wrote about complaints, reported by WBAL, of a strange grey substance that's been covering cars, windows & other surfaces in Anne Arundel Co. Lab results are in and the substance is not a health threat, but the source is still unknown. More info: cwg.live
