i think what's also good is to just go with an idea for a while and see where it takes you, even if you totally scrap it in the end. so even the total spirals can in the end be good for finding what works and what doesn't, and it eases the stress of it all when there's no pressure to get it right :>

+ i still just switch attention between ocs in the world and the worldbuilding comes from there... example "what if aavedata but my ocs no wait is this canon oh ok ghosts are real in this world ok cool what about-" spiraling XD OH NO IM RANTING i dont think theres gonna be a comic but who knows (2)

i feel you about the starting OTL but what kinda worked for me to get the ball rolling was focusing first on individual ocs and their goings, then slowly starting to figure how they would interact with each other 🤔(1)
