‘Stats’ rely on people reporting, which is shaped by their lived experiences of reporting.
If ‘what is the fkg point?’ is someone’s go to, stats are affected accordingly.
Misogyny, racism and ableism are not taken seriously and are usually completely ignored.

Thank you @iandunt.bsky.social for all you are doing. I don't want to live in a country which dehumanises those seeking asylum and immigrants are not treated with dignity.
We want fairness, planning, evidence-based policy, acknowledgement of trade-offs, dignity for immigrants, a refusal to engage in far-right rhetoric and perhaps, if we were really optimistic, recognition from political leaders of the value of diversity.
