So Bryce "man of the people" Edwards' Integrity Institute is lacking in integrity...next you'll be telling me Reality Check Radio doesn't represent actual reality!?!

Willis post poll putting Nats in the 20s: I want to see a New Zealand where more kids are learning to write and do maths, you need structured literacy and numeracy for that...I want to see a New Zealand where actually it's not just our ag sector growing, it's our tech sector growing.

Shes running.

Worth remembering that Simon "Mr 29% Bridges" got rolled polling the same as Luxon is now.

The crazy tail wagging the marginally less crazy dog.

That's something I hadn't considered, just how much his own MPs must be starting to turn against him.

You can almost head her sharpening the knives from here.

We should be using fiscal policy to help manage the economic cycle - instead the government is determined to force the Reserve Bank to do all the work. That hinders our recovery and leads to unnecessary misery. Real people will suffer in communities around Aotearoa for this.

Plus as me and @mizjwilliams.bsky.social were discussing recently, who are they going to replace him with who will be more popular, Bish, Stanford, Willis?

The Nats enjoyed 38 straight polls where they were ahead, from the last GE onwards. They've only been ahead in 22 of the last 38, with Labour ahead in 16 polls.

Doesn't the Nats hitting the 20's almost mean an automatic leadership spill?

Break the economy, freeze out the RB Governor, install a new one, instruct them to cut the OCR to fix said broken economy. Nats Party Economics.
Reserve Bank slashes Official Cash Rate by 50 basis points
The central bank has opted for a big cut after facing a difficult call.

@stuff.co.nz have been screwing their staff for years. I was earning $46,250 a year before tax when I worked for them, barely enough to live on.

National want us to take them seriously on the economy, yet the PM and Finance Minister can't even properly confirm if they spoke about whether Willis should stay in her job!

Key has been out of Government for nearly a decade, yet the Nats are so useless they STILL need him going into bat for them.

It's really telling that our economy shrank by 1.2% compared to a country like the UK, a place I very recently spent 3 months and where I saw firsthand just how bad things are there.

🎵Oh Nicola,
You came and you ruined our economy,
With job cuts and payouts to the wealthy🎵

Tbh I shouldn't be massively over-surprised, I left when I did in 2012 because Stuff was becoming more about creating hits on the website than reporting balanced and objective news.

Never has Seymour channelled greater pick-me energy than right now.

Things Stuff could've asked Seymour: which New Zealanders?
Do you support any of Kirk's positions, such as great replacement theory, ending the separation of church and state, that Martin Luther King Jr was a "bad man", opposing abortion for rape? Like, you have him right there.
Glenn McConnell, Stuff: "Acting Prime Minister David Seymour says the Opposition blocked an official motion in Parliament to pay respects to Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated in the US.

Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Seymour said Kirk's death had "struck a chord with New Zealanders".

"It's the bitter and tragic irony that a person promoting free speech, over political violence, was subject to political violence. This is resonating deeply with New Zealanders," he said."

And to think it's "100% NZ-owned!"

It's one thing to listen in on police radio communications so you know where to go to cover a story, but it's something quite different to include that content gathered from radio communications in your actual finished story.
