This government is proving to be a disastrous disappointment in so many ways.

This will be a dangerous move for the future of wildlife and biodiversity in the UK!

First time a policy was re-taken for failing the Environmental Principles duty. No more “light-touch” assessments.

“Part of the problem is that the party is paralysed by institutional pressures and geopolitical alignments. Of course, balancing these forces is what makes for great governments and leaders. But Starmer has shown no such inclination.”

I'm calling him divisive because I feel divided by this, though I admit his speech was good. I don't think the party was great at getting the vote out to those members who were not following this election closely. 20K or so votes out of a membership of 60K+ feels to me like less of a groundswell.

I'm not sure what to make about the lurch towards an eco-populist leadership in the Green Party. It might pay off, but I dread seeing the sort of polarising tribalism that divided labour during the momentum years. Hard won in rural constituencies might be turned off by this.

Good to see. I hadn’t had it in childhood & full blown chickenpox in adulthood can kill! It put me into hospital. My blood oxygen levels were very low and I had spots in mouth, throat, possibly lungs. I was isolated & given an IV anti-viral until I turned a corner.
