Made loads of my games PWYW today. I've kept a couple of titles as paid and set them to 10 bucks.
Will be funding finishing a long overdue crowdfunder and some reprints from my sales in the next month or two.
There's some cool stuff here I've not looked at in forever.

So I know about ARKYVR. What other RPGs are there where recording/media creation are explicitly part of the game?
Like, I get you can play a journalist in Call of Cthulhu and make up that part of your job, but it isn't part of the game. It doesn't have its own mechanics and it isn't centred.

Day 2 in the d20 calendar, we've got one of those weird irregular dice. No alarming chemical smell like last year (I didn't get it too close to my nose, though), nor that snot green undercoat under the silver paint. Its faces, (other than blanks) are: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8

So many people have entirely false perceptions of the breadth of what RPGs are. Whether that is an inaccurate idea of DnD, an *accurate* idea of DnD, an understanding Pathfinder exists too, or also that GURPS exists.
Most people I have introduced to RPGs are surprised by them.

It's a shame because hiring a diverse and skilled bunch of people and paying them well for their time seems like a cool idea.
But I am so not on board with anything that elevates GMing into a mysterious art form beyond the ken of mere mortals that takes wads of cash or years of esoteric study.

I saw a comment in this thread - which Grant responded to perfectly - about how we shouldn't criticize this since some of the teachers are POC.
Sure, don't rock POCs for their hustle. But it doesn't change the fact that this does NOT help our industry or marginalized workers as a whole very much.

The number of folks publicly cancelling GenCon attendance is growing, and the number quietly not attending is growing more.
I can't yet decide if it'll have a big enough impact to make the con feel different overall, but the number of people who will notice as con-goers must be going up too.

My greatest contribution to the team was failing every single roll, tripping devil balls, throwing a bomb in a small chamber and rolling a nat 1, and ultimately being dissolved in demonic acid.
