Nice. I can rename my headset here too.

Google VR and Apple VR headsets are the names of my personal computers and I demand that you address them as such. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Give Seth MacFarlane full creative control over Star Trek.

I used to be on Twitter when it was good and all I have to show for it is this receipt.

Star Trek fans can now will it into being.

He knows why people love Trek.

The team behind Deadpool VR on the plank at Meta.

I would like to hear a conversation between Gabe Newell and Michael Abrash. When was the last time they talked?

Will they speak again?

He sounds exactly the same as someone with buyers remorse trying to talk themselves into not regretting their purchase.

I know this kind of self-serving commentary makes some people go cross-eyed, but listening to it closely it is like he made a project of actually trying and analyzing the competition and either made the exact wrong conclusions about that experience, or straight up lied.

As I understand it tomorrow an all hands meeting is likely at Meta to rally the remaining metamates who haven’t been tossed off the edge of the ship? Unconfirmed on that but it would make sense.

That would be a heckuva time for Valve to do literally anything.

Unfortunately, I was part of the layoffs today at Meta, and will be seeking a new role.

To my Twisted Pixel Games family: it was an honor to work alongside you for 3.5 years and ship Marvel's Deadpool VR. We made something really special together and no one can ever take that away. ❤️

I wanna high five @jamesoloughlin.bsky.social or @nchan.bsky.social or @scottstein.bsky.social during the Lakers game and I could see spending $100 to put that on my wrist.
Apple could release a screen-less band in the $100 range with all the sensors of Apple Watch. Use it for sleep tracking and, when paired with Apple Watch, use it for input with AVP.

“Apple Immersive Band” (AI Band) makes a lot of sense to differentiate the product and its function from Apple Watch.

Me writing about VR.
If you're a writer your job is to do cartwheels wearing a silly hat with bells on for pennies while secretly believing you are harnessing the cosmic force that holds reality together. You can't actually do one or the other. It has to be both.

This shit right here is gonna haunt my days. Jared Leto basically re-enacted his murder scene in American Psycho but played it as Christian Bale’s character instead.

It’s the most awkwardly acted scene in memory.
He just loves Depeche Mode, man.

Wait I can spend my mid-life crisis in complete denial? I can pretend each year I have left births two more through sheer will?

And I can use Bluesky to make it so nobody can tell me otherwise?
I turned 51 today and it's crazy to think that I'm probably over a third of the way through my life, like in 2100 I'm going to be a legitimately old man, I probably won't be able to do some of the things I do today. I may not even live to see 2125. Wild.

First year I skipped CES and didn’t FOMO at all.

A VR company can teleport me into a robot in Vegas and I’ll interview the CEO from my headset at home.

Maybe CES 2027?
How do you do a CES? You make outreach plans, you then mix honoring those and freefalling to new stuff, you follow instincts and glimmers and your inner emotional state, you accept that the game is rigged to produce FOMO and you just appreciate the scattered moments with as clear a head as you can
