Makes sense: for the last couple of years we had students that spent high school at home. Now we have students whose COVID experience was early enough that they had a chance to have a normal transition to young adulthood..

No doubt the majority of those condemning the Manchester attack are doing so in good faith and are well meaning, but it's naive to say some aren't motivated by Islamophobia.

So maybe let's agree to not evaluate every opinion by the very worst people who happen to agree it.

That's the disgusting logic that is employed by right-wing Israelis to insulate them from criticism. The fact that Israel is committing genocide in no way justifies hate crimes against Jewish people.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

To be honest, this is a super annoying system. I wish I had a physical residence card. It's fine within the UK, but I get hassled by airlines/immigration in other countries when flying to the UK.

I'm not sure about that. Tylenol doesn't have a monopoly. After quick googling, it seems that Panadol and Tylenol are roughly the same, and generics in the UK and US also the same, however in the US you need to buy in bulk (e.g. 250 pills) to get the same price, which isn't legal in the UK.

Antifa is not being classified as a terrorist organization, because there's no such thing as classifying a domestic group as a "terrorist organization" in us law. More accurately, Trump has just called antifa terrorists on social media.

I don't read it like that.The implication is that there's basically no evidence to support the charges, and therefore they shouldn't have been filed. The grand jury only hear evidence from the prosecutor and only need to find probable cause.
