May 4th was a week ago, but as I've just joined Bluesky here's a little #StarWars gaming history for the three people possibly interested - an interview I did with Jack Yarwood at @timeextension.com last year, about developing #NES Star Wars for Lucasfilm.

It’s not “vibe coding”, it’s “slop coding”. 🤷‍♂️

Here's mine:

It's not a boom at all if you've only gotten to this point by forcing your shitty slop-tech into millions of places it wasn't wanted or needed in the first place.

Cry harder, then go broke, slop-shills.

Ongoing efforts in pursuit of my ambition have just seen me deliberately get myself arrested and sentenced to a stretch in New Newgate Prison, following up rumours of a Vake-tooth running loose in there...

Watched 'Arsenic and Old Lace' (1944) - last seen on TV repeats as a kid.

More 'screwball' and longer than remembered, but Cary Grant's shtick was rarely more fun.

Peter Lorre was also a delight: “Not the Melbourne Method, please…”
(Murder whilst wearing black and drinking coffee...? 😉)

Long assumed I'd seen 'The Swimmer' (1968) starring Burt Lancaster, but turns out that (until today) I'd only watched a few small sections.

Not what I expected, but nonetheless an incredible experience: 'Apocalypse Now' for broken 1960s ad execs.

Took time out from retro gaming and Fallen London shenanigans to finish the main story for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Took me just over 40 hours, but I'm never speedy with these things.

Not particularly difficult, but really enjoyed the storyline. Might get the DLC down the track. 😉

Have finally committed to an ambition (trying Bag a Legend) and need to investigate the Shuttered Palace.

Temporarily putting more direct Vake-hunting activities aside to improve my status as a Persuasive personage, currently by attempted seduction of the Honey-Sipping Heiress... #FallenLondon

Just finished watching Tai-Chi Master (1993).

Taoism, friendship, betrayal, love, death, tragedy and more than a little comedy, including Jet Li driven (temporarily) insane, along with some brilliant sword work by Michelle Yeoh - what's not to love?

Four days back in the Neath and I've gone from squashing Sorrow-Spiders to duelling members of the Black Ribbon Society, in a bid to make a name for myself.

So far I've only bested Colonel Pommery, and am now nursing a considerable number of wounds, so time for a bit of a lie down. 😉

We are going to need an entirely new and separate internet at this rate, as the GenAI prompt-fondlers and slop-merchants are rapidly fucking this one from orbit.

Spending time rolling drunks in the alleys of Spite for Prisoner's Honey and an occasional Foxfire Candle Stub (actually doing it mainly for much-needed Shadowy stat gains to finish another onboarding storyline), in #FallenLondon.

I'm up to my armpits in Sorrow-Spiders but have a sack full of their legs to cash in for that sweet, sweet Rostygold.

Weird but fun to be back in the #FallenLondon early game after years away.

Just discovered series 7, 8 and 9 of Inside No. 9 are all available to stream free on Kanopy (for those with a card/membership for an associated local library).

I'd previously only seen up to S6, so this is making me do the happy dance. 😎

Surprised to find myself starting over on #FallenLondon last night, having deleted my old character (and years of progress...) four years ago.

Enjoying just pootling around, checking out the onboarding storylets that now exist, and realised I've genuinely missed being in the Neath.

Despite not being into team sports, Shaolin Soccer has somehow become one of my go-to comfort watches, a movie that I keep returning to year after year - this must be my fifth rewatch at least.

Utterly ridiculous, yet weirdly heartfelt and moving at the same time. #movies
