The Government has identified Tempsford as one of its top three priority sites for a new town, and I know many people are concerned about the increased strain this would put on local infrastructure and services here in St Neots unless serious action is taken.

It is a real concern that already rated 'inadequate' last year, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Probation Service might still be operating with only half the staff it needs.
It is even more concerning that this shortfall may be putting children's safeguarding at risk.

Earlier this week I joined my constituent, Vivien, whose family and husband were supported by Arthur Rank before he died from a rare cancer, to deliver the petition to 10 Downing Street.

Following the shocking attack on a train near Huntingdon over the weekend, I took the time yesterday to thank Cambridgeshire's emergency services as well as rail passengers and staff for their quick response and extraordinary bravery in the face of such danger.

Today, I asked the Minister for Care whether he recognised the clear contradiction between the Government's policy to bring healthcare out of hospitals and into communities as part of its 10 Year Plan, and the recent decision to withdraw funding for 40% of beds at Arthur Rank.
