I'll say it again, Art is communication.

"Create for yourself" really means "Create art that communicates who you are." And one sided communication feels terrible. Commenting on peoples art/creations can be scary, I get it. But COMMENT. COMMUNICATE. We want to hear it. I want to hear it.

Restricting the expression of sexuality through fiction and art made by adults, for adults – including those you find personally disturbing or offputting – is conservative censorship, full stop. When that censorship disproportionately affects subgroups, that's also discrimination. For shame.

Just because I don't wanna see noncon doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be shown, or talked about, or discussed. Did you know majority of rapes happen in marriages? And most people aren't even aware it's happening to them because education on the subject is taboo. Discomfort is EDUCATION.

Here's the thing: you're allowed to be uncomfortable with things like noncon. As a SA victim, I don't wanna see it. However, that's what moderation tools are for. Tagging it, blocking it, muting it--that's up to YOU.
Things that make you uncomfortable will ALWAYS be around. Learn to live with that.

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.

Checked my email and a local shelter is offering a damn near spitting image of Sundance as a possible pet and I...man. She's so pretty but I both don't wanna replace Sundance, and get a dog that looks similar to her. I'd call the new dog Sundance and that's not fair to it.
