I understand Bangkok is skittish about doing any underground work after the sinkhole that appeared, but this is how they happen. Not creating proper drainage means the water saturates the soil, creating weaknesses that lead to sinkholes.

I’m moving next month because this is the next sinkhole!

Meaning people who are not in the main building have to literally swim across the pool to get to their homes.

This is because they raised ground level but did not add any drainage. Plus, raising ground level on the sidewalk means the water in bus/homes now pools without somewhere to flow.

My neighborhood, Ratchayothin, has terrible flooding (as is common throughout Bangkok for reasons). Their solution to this was to repave/raise the sidewalks and repave the driveways of all the businesses and residences.

It’s the Halloween season. It’s like the gay version of menstruation.

At the recommendation of my doctor and nutritionist, I have to make my own bread again.

I haven’t done this since I was in my 20’s and I had a full kitchen and a bread machine. We’ll see how this goes in Thailand.

So, randomly watching Octopussy in a bar and I totally discovered why Daniel Craig’s Bond sucks.

Roger Moore’s Bond switches the real McGuffin for a fake McGuffin in a “boring” auction scene.

However, no one in Craig’s series ever trusted him enough to even give him a fake anything.

You know, somehow I have missed listening to a late-80’s version of Stevie Nicks singing Gold Dust Woman and… this is soooo my vibe. Gone is the cowbell and instead we have Tangerine Dream-esque synthesizer vamps and funk bass guitar.

I finally get how Prince influenced her. Amazing.
