Dropping a little Xmas gift to the ATproto developer community... I've wrapped the ATprotoDocs MCP server in a chat interface, so you can just query the documentation directly without needing to know how to install an MCP server. Play with it at:

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Maybe we could help with some ideas #atproto friends?
“Frankly I’m not certain I know what I’m doing, so I get a lot of help,” Newmark says. “The success I’ve had in my past has been about building networks of networks. I don’t know how to lead from the top — I can just lead by example."
After signing the Giving Pledge in December, Craig Newmark, the founder of craigslist, is preparing to go deeper in his main areas of focus -- cybersecurity and helping military families and veterans.

We've heard people like Starter Packs, so we just begun putting one together for open source organizations. It could be an OSPO like us, a Foundation that supports projects and the ecosystem or accounts for OSS events.

Take a look and tell us who else should be there.

Been building private AI knowledge assistants that sit on top of your own docs/wiki and answer questions without exposing content to the models.
Looking for 1-2 teams who feel crushed by documentation or support q's and want a done‑for‑you pilot (1–2 wks, on your infra).

The homeless veterans who sued the VA for access to housing in Los Angeles won their appeal against the government yesterday.

The decision was complex, but may be consequential in eliminating veteran homelessness across the country.

Appeals court upholds landmark ruling in homeless veterans lawsuit against the VA
A long-awaited ruling by the 9th Circuit reinforces an order for the VA to build thousands of housing units for vets — but with some unexpected caveats.

But wait... If we're heading towards a future where Google is garbage and an ai browser will be required to find any useful information online, this means we're done getting the verb "Google" for free. What happens when the only those who can afford the subscription are able to "look it up online"?

Stop saying “knowledge worker” to refer to professionals who work from an office. Instead, say “information worker.” Dentists, plumbers, and teachers require substantial knowledge to perform their work.

If I were more of a conspiracy theorist, I'd think the anti-ai hype is being pushed by corp real estate interests to keep everyone complaining about ai instead of protesting "return to office" mandates.

Why aren't we all shunning office buildings & being forced to commute as much as data centers??
December 1, 2025 at 4:24 PM
If you tell me you are "anti-ai" you are just telling me you don't understand what "ai" even is.
improvement in machine learning tools has quietly been improving disabled lives for decades but the explosion of chatbots has not.
