In a Minneapolis suburb this week, masked men wearing ICE vests—who refused to present a warrant or identify themselves—roped off a construction site, trapping two workers on a partially built roof for hours in subzero temperatures.
Trump Is Walloping Construction Businesses. The Industry Stays Quiet.
Raids on work sites. Roofers under siege. But builders keep mum.

They insist the files will be released in the next “couple weeks.”

Massie: Previous presidents told us to go to war over WMDs that did not exist. Now it's the same playbook. Except we're told that drugs are the WMDs. If it were about drugs, we'd bomb Mexico or China or Colombia. This is about oil and regime change.

AOC: Oh, hell no. It was a joke. This was not a serious intelligence briefing. This was the communication of an opinion.

Rob Reiner was a creative genius and a lovely man, with such passion and principle, including on politics. I had the privilege of interviewing him once. And of course A Few Good Men is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Rest in power, Rob.

Layoffs have hit over 1.1M so far this year — the most since the pandemic.

Yet corporate profits continue to hit record highs, with corporations increasingly spending those earnings on stock buybacks to enrich execs and shareholders.

This is what a rigged economy looks like.

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

NVIDIA's CEO spent the past year lobbying Trump to greenlight the sale of advanced AI chips to China, which could undercut US national security.

Now he's heading to Capitol Hill to push his agenda in secret meetings.

Huang should testify publicly.

Trump, continued: "What the Somalian people have done to Minnesota is not even believable. It’s not even believable. And a lot of it starts with the governor. A lot of it starts with Barack HUSSEIN Obama, because that’s when people started coming in... They want to kiss our country good night."

This is why I cringe when people ask “why don’t billionaires cure poverty?” or any other number of positive things they could do for society. There are ALWAYS strings attached, always a motive for them. I want our GOVERNMENT to cure poverty by taxing the eff out of every billionaire.
Can I let you in on a little secret?

Billionaire philanthropy isn’t charity.

It’s PR to distract you from low wages, labor exploitation, and a tax system that’s rigged for the rich.

Three out of five men in this shot have been accused of sexual misconduct, harassment or abusive behaviour towards women. A fourth signed into law a near-total abortion ban in his state as governor.

Iowa City made buses free in August 2023 with a goal of lowering emissions and encouraging people to take public transit.

Now ridership is up, traffic is down, and the program is extremely popular.

So popular that the City Council has voted to extend it for another year.

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.
