PAX was such a huge perspective changer for me. I’ve been feeling a big “chapter” change in my life recently, and that whole trip was like the major page turn. The coolest info I found out this weekend at PAX is just how thriving OSR stuff is on TikTok, and how receptive TikTok audiences and creators are to OSR games. Never would have thought

This is the reason I created Vagabond's Fighter the way I did. People are expecting something cake to apply the palette they want to. The people asking for complex maneuvers and all that are the minority, so a specialized class design is needed for them, not your vanilla fight man.

People are asking about how the "Martial/Caster Divide" in Vagabond. During playtest, Treantmonk actually said we had the inverse problem where Martials were straight up better than Casters. We tuned things more since then, but I still think the strongest class is a Martialist (the Alchemist).

There comes a point where telling a customer to "go fuck themselves" is 1000% the best business practice. Not saying you do this to every customer, but good god some people are incapable of satisfaction and our culture isn't helping them become less insufferable assholes.

This is blowing my mind right now. The InDesign file for Rook & the Crook is just straight up missing after the InDesign 2026 update. Not only that, any of the PDFs that were on my computer for it are also totally gone. I can still get it from my webstore downloads, but this is just bizarre.

Dude, every time I hear about Warhammer/Games Workshop, I find some new level of reprehensible and embarrassing behavior. Games Workshop stopped crediting designers because the fandom was sending death threats to people who might have made something OP? Good lord man.
Hey did anyone else know that like Games Workshop has a policy of not crediting ppl who work on their massive IP rulebooks or whatever? Wife and I just went through a number of 40k codex books & Kill Team etc and like...there's no credits page. At all. That's...WILD.

Imagine how much funnier MtG Arena would be if it did Call of Duty style replays of the last 5 seconds of audio from your opponent for the match. Toxic as hell, but the clips would be incredible.

Another killer dungeon map for Land of the Blind from @salvaterra.bsky.social! The Caustic Cave of Quasmoidon was the first dungeon I ever designed, back in 2016. I decided to do it up with as much pro-polish as I could for the second print of Vagabond, with art by @vaultcrawler.bsky.social!
