This isn't meant as some attack against Mr.Whitehead or anyone who worked on games like Mania, btw. I don't really have a problem with everyone who has ever worked on an official Sonic product. That isn't what I'm saying here.

There's a tendency to prop up fan work as being oh so much better than a given official equivalent, but I have a slightly different position when it comes to Sonic:

It doesn't work as a licensed franchise period

It is now the 8th anniversary of Mania so time to dig up some Sonic trivia... This year, it's Kanga Clanga! (aka the Kangus). This lovable robo-roo originally lived in the outback but now entertains us all in Pinball Carnival Zone!
