People often talk about the challenges of raising kids & how much work it is.

It is all that, & their adorableness often gets you through it, but not enough is said about how wonderful it is when they become adults & your friends.

Oh my goodness everybody if you have not gone outside, go now and look at the Moon! I have never seen anything like it in my life! I know we're all in different regions but here in California it is appearing to be super low and it is huge and glowing a golden orange color!

Here’s a typical bundle of file papers from the Boston Municipal Court archives. It probably hasn’t been unwrapped since it was docketed in 1822. The organization of the sub-layers is significant, & I always photograph bundles so that I can put them back together as I found them. I love this work! 🗃️

This - which I explored today - is the kind of thing I live for on walks in the deep countryside: a 200+-year-old abandoned walled garden, totally overgrown and teeming with wildlife and ghosts.

Finding lost magic places like this, untouched and undeveloped, always fills me with weird kind of hope.

As someone who was recently prevented from boarding a flight from Chicago to the UK - a situation that took 3.5 weeks to sort, during which I nearly ran out of vital cancer medication - this frightens me. I have family in the US, but I'm increasingly hesitant to return...
