Thank you, Kevin, that's very kind.
Thank you, that's very kind.
And this morning, the inevitable happened. She did make it to 91, mainly I think because of the fantastic care in the home. Thankfully, we saw her before we came up here on holiday. It's an end of an era because that's all four parents gone now. A very sad day. 2/2
Well, it's one of those days that come to us all as we get older. Jo's mum passed away this morning. She'd been in a home for a few years, and Dementia then Alzheimer’s was diagnosed a couple of years ago. In the last 4 months, there had been a noticeable decline in her health 1/2

The Repair Shop with Werner Herzog:
Guest: "Stunning work, thank you"
WH: "How do you feel seeing this object, a symbol of your dead wife? Though constructed of crude, worthless materials, it has been resurrected like some cheap miracle, mocking your grief and dead wife, now condemned to oblivion."
The theatre where I had my last operation had more charm than this.
Yep! Started yesterday. We're on the last two days of our fortnight away. If it had been next week I might have been able to wangle a couple of days off work. #SwingingTheLead
The last couple of days staying in our woodland bolthole. A lovely cold morning.
Yes. You mentioned the Twilight Zone a while back, so we've been watching selected episodes while we are in our holiday log cabin for a fortnight. Thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks for reminding us how good they are.
Stuff read this holiday. So far. @whenisbirths.bsky.social I absolutely loved Into The Groove. There is so much to enjoy in it. Thank you.

Not Dub, but probably essential.
It's safe (I think), so I've ordered this, Nick. It'll be a nice antidote to the post-holiday blues next week.
12 or 14 at home. 16 or 18 if our lovely neighbours are on holiday.
A list has been made for me to look out for vinyl of these records. I'm really looking to hunting these down over the months/years.
I'm not your buddy. Bye.
Was that poor service? Something you would know about.
I'm really sorry to butt in, it's one minute and they lost custom because of this poor service. I work in a service industry as well (I'm a postie) and the entitlement here is breathtaking. It was ONE minute. I hope you receive better service than Moose did. Dearie me!
Some Antique fairs are like this. We've stood in the pouring rain until the exact second of the opening time. Petty and pointless.
No probs. Give me a year or so.
I only repair books that nice people on here recommend.
