For everyone in Canada who wants to become the 51st... this is your future should you succeed. Half of us wouldn't qualify for insurance because our preexisting conditions wouldn't be covered. We wouldn't have access to the medications keeping us alive. Simply stated, we would die.
She paid hundreds of thousands for life-saving open-heart surgery and only avoided bankruptcy because she had solid insurance.

Last year, I was too sick from my meds, which were changed after a GI bleed, to celebrate Christmas. My roommate when I was in hospital had terminal cancer. This year, I may be going a bit insane. A small tree in both of the rooms I use the most makes perfect sense...right?
