that's why all the llm shizzle is still for free, you're paying the same way you pay for every google search

it's a shame this transaction is as hidden and disguised as it is with so many services "that value our privacy", any other way it would probably never come this far
Tech companies aren't really trying to sell you a product. You, the user, are part of a product they are trying to sell to shareholders.
The way tech companies constantly do stuff that nobody asked for really tells you a lot about their bigger ideology. They tell themselves that you will like it over time. What they mean is you’ll learn to endure it, or you’ll give up. quality of UI is not actually anywhere on their radar

John Williams seems like such a warm and friendly person.
Saw the '24 doc abt him & while parts were kinda cringeworthy, esp. towards the end, worth it!

I mean, c'mon, the man pretty much cemented the collective musical (un)conscious of a century through the medium of film.

I just. like. noticed for the first time how the opening phrase of Legend of the Zelda's Main Theme is extremely similar to the Star Wars Theme. It's like.. just shifted or offset.

Sure, it's heroic & 5th intervals are heroic and everything.. it makes total sense.. just baffled I never noticed it.

YouTube just reminded me of My Dinner with Andre, stumbled over it in last years winter & it immediately became one my most favourite movies. I was obsessed with it for a month.

I wish there were more calm and conversational movies like this. The only other one I can think of is The Man from Earth.

I made quite the progress for my ghostly forest project and relevant transcriptions this week. Satisfying!

It's so refreshing to finally play Piano again, that I easily get distracted by just ending up improvising or exploring harmonic spaces

& I got bronze rocket in pants @ botb planets, heh!

If you haven't watched Pluribus yet - I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Really trying hard not to be a Vince Gilligan fanboy, but since it's so different that doesn't really matter anyways.

This show has so much potential! I hope it goes where I think it does..

I decided that I want to write a short story. It's gonna play out in 2035, and it's gonna be kinda mean, in a good way.

This will be good!

Musescore 5.0 will be so bonkers if they manage to get everything done thats on their roadmap

Automation
Dynamics
Piano Roll
Audio Staves with Time-Stretching
Midi Mapping

Kinda excited for that one

Dorian #4 is my mood this week
It's such a good & rewarding feeling to practice playing piano again, swaying back and forth from learning dear music to improvising and exploration.

Someday soon I'll have to do some sound design and create some ghostly fm patches. Not sure what I wanna use yet :3

I'm wondering, if gen ai music remains to stay.. will human made music get more into microtonal territory?

I'm currently trying to write way more simply and traditionally for one of my projects, and it's a wonderful and weird experience.

You know, like using Sentence & Period structures for melodies - trying to force more simplicity, form and coherence.
It's frustrating & difficult, but rewarding.

Satie's first Gnossienne is not only one of the most simple and effective pieces of music to me, it's also the perfect tune to practice the timing of your grace notes on the keys.

These pieces just have a harmonic world and language, that I'm very much drawn to.

so much to do!!
nearly done with reorganizing all the data & music i've been hoarding and creating since I started doing that

am like 98% done & optimistic that I'll be able to start into 2026 with a clean "digital living room & music setup" so to speak
for the first time in years

Yume Nikki PS1.
Demo out NOW!
It contains two dream worlds to explore.

You can run it on a real PlayStation 1.

This is a fan game. I put a lot of love and care into it.
I hope you enjoy it.

ystrday I tracked 6 or 7 cover musics into lsdj in like under 8hours, which felt like going from snail to cheetah tempo with my lsdj tracking speed

amazing how something that feels so NOT intuitive at first glance (lsdj ui) turns efficient once it clicked for you

lsdj skill++

on another note, I'm planning more music releases!

might take a while tho
I got a few buckets of themed music projects that keep growing. one of them's alrdy 50% done & I have a pretty strong image for its visuals. title still a mystery to me

another one will try & make heavy use of stem splitters

there is a confession I have to make
I never played any game of the earthbound series

recently I tried to remedy that by starting earthbound beginnings and just playing a short amount of time each day

today I stumbled into magicant and I'm happy to say it finally starts to click. love the music!

another thing I'm noticing, again, is that almost all my favourite video games have time as a very prominent subject in their stories.

killing time in the context off this game is not only a fun joke, it's woven very deeply into the story. alas, death to chronos

barely can stop playing to work on musics

this time there are two routes, up or down
the crossroads as hub feels so comfortably jinxed - frinos ftw!
the siren singing in the second region is magic and so.much.more!

games made with so much love & detail are rare
