My wife was sexually harassed by Miles Hewstone as a phd student. He was still asked to review her (and other women he harassed) for jobs and promotions. This is so fucked up.

I decided to study sociology when 15M in Spain was booming. In the middle of a terrible recession we felt that institutions didn't work, that chaos was the rule, and that the worst outcomes were the most likely ones.

I have a friend in Spain with a PhD teaching 4 courses a week (8h in total) for ~500€/month gross. This happens in a university in one of the main cities in the country.
