Tonbridge Castle said to be one of the most haunted places in Kent. In 2023 they hosted a night-time ghost watch. Not sure any ghosts attended but it is spooky. *info in alt text

An eerie passageway in the depths of Tonbridge Castle in Kent. The walls are ancient red brick and the floor is stone pavings. The view is through the arched wooden door frame. A lighted room can be seen at the end of the passage. This houses an exhibition in the castle, that is now open to the public and owned by the local council.
A castle has stood on the spot for 900 years - first a Norman Motte-and-bailey fort and later a more solid stone affair with impressive gatehouse. Prisoners were kept in its dungeons and it has seen many public executions, giving rise to the tales of hauntings.

The remains of the impressive stone fortifications of Tonbridge Castle, overlooking the river Medway in Kent. The castle and the blue sky above are all reflected in the river’s still waters on an early December day. A tree, having lost all its leaves, stands behind one of the walls to the left while on the right others still retain some brown autumn shades.
The castle was first constructed as a simple Motte-and-bailey fort, mainly consisting of earth and timber, but later extended with stone walls and a gatehouse.
Kings not only fought at the castle, but they were also entertained within the castle grounds.
In 1088, the caste’s owners, the de Clare family rebelled against King William II. His army besieged the castle. After holding for two days the castle fell and as punishment the king had both the castle and the town of Tonbridge burnt to the ground.
Public executions were also held here, leading to tales of ghosts and haunting.

A slither of hope I just hope this doesn't go the way it usually does. Imo the aid should be rolling in by now and it's not. Israel still bombing as we speak! Its just too awful. It's going to take decades for Palestinians to reach a point of recovery. Past time for the world to step up.

Seems genuinely upset about it however is that emotion for Zelah and Nancy or is it simply self centred. I do hope she does realise how much she has struck right at the heart of zelahs whole self and will evolve from it. Still too late to take the hurt away from that poor lad.

The consensus is that these Trump watches are either partly or wholly made in China and are being sold at a grotesquely inflated price.

There's currently a 34% tariff on Chinese watches which means that MAGA fans are paying well over the odds for cobbled together crap with Trump's name on it.
