The text had come out of the blue. A response to five of her messages asking why he wouldn't reply after their last date. He wasn't the first to do that.
She had drafted a response four times: the first as a calm, mature woman, the second as a wraith, the third as a sad lunatic and then, finally, no response. It wasn't her fault. Why did she think it was, though?
