I think we’ve got better and more culturally-varied street food than I could have imagined, cool jackets galore, and drugs that make us think we’re really fast and strong before they kill us.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Perhaps one of the more folklore oriented folks here could lend a hand — is there anything that goes on in Jewish superstition regarding doppelgängers/fetches?

*whispers* Actually, there's a superhero game that's even more granular and complex than the ones you're discussing. I just can't discuss it on your site.

You will actually have a larger base of customers/attendees if you kick more people out. You will make more money. I am dead serious.

I spent an excessive number of years moderating a gaming forum and I learned a great deal about community spaces and cultivation, whether I wanted to or not. I have critical advice for anyone who runs a game store or gaming convention. Please share this thread with people who run those things.

What a lovely, kind idea.
One of my old friends (absolutely offline) was going through some scary stuff last year -- and I, helpless, live so far away. And so I asked what I could do to support her best.

Oh my god, I just learned that @tinstargames.bsky.social has died. Many of us knew Steve: his drive to create TTRPGs like Relics, his activism and scathing criticism of bad actors, his many game reviews. The Aussie gaming community and the hobby at large has lost another prolific talent.
