The crowd gasps at Jamie’s masterful control of the bicycle

Books, music and the Arsenal.
Allowed myself a couple of hours to sit and listen to some records.

This will not surprise anyone, but Crowded House could write some tunes, Stone Roses first album is absolutely brilliant and because no listening session can be 100% Beatle free, the 50th 1/2 speed master of Band on the Run =👌🏻

Plus sides to today: Two-child benefit scrapped. Largely progressive tax implications. Good market reaction. No big spending cuts. Nightmare prospect of cutting funding to net zero etc avoided. It's a left-wing budget. Those who say there's no difference between Labour and Tories are bananas.

So happy for Eze. Goosebumps.

Anthology 4, then.

Real Love the real winner. Much, much better sounding vocal but not LOVING Giles’ production (this is a running theme).

The instant dopamine hit was how quickly they sounded wonderful on early takes of This Boy, Tell Me Why and If I Fell.

They were amazing. This disc is OK.

Interesting to see so many great British patriots right now begging an American president to bankrupt one of Britain’s last remaining truly national institutions.

Bit of Yildiz
Bit of the Arsenal
Outstanding result on both fronts.

Arsenal’s defence is so much better with Califiori in it, but I have no idea why.

That Florence and the Machine performance on Graham Norton was like some 6th formers had written Macbeth the musical and won a prize to perform it in a shopping centre.

August 1963. 6 months until Ed Sullivan. The UK conquered.

Kids are losing their minds and 15 minutes into a blistering set the hall in Bournemouth falls as the Beatles glide their way through Baby, It’s You.

If you have headphones, I would take a moment to join them.

Thank God for the Beatles. They’re the best friends you’ll ever have. Get yourself a dog and you, my friend, are set for life.

Saka just scored a worldie.

In the 3 minutes that followed Sam Matterface and Lee Dixon maintained two 10 second silences and highlighted that England’s ‘big hitters’ were on the bench.

They bring all the joy and atmosphere of a morgue.

Gyokeres isn’t just not scoring goals, he’s not making the opportunities to score goals. Getting nowhere near.

En route to the Arsenal. It is windy.

More as I get it.

I am so desperately depressed. I don’t know what to do about it. It’s been months.

What the hell do you do about it?
