Stylistic evolution is a funny thing. “Baby Blues” has Wanda maintain her “welded eye” look from the original comics, so she looks kinda alien next to the show-original characters, who with rare exception are drawn with discreet eyes.

When I first listened to this I misheard some lyrics:
“~Tall Man~ Jack is king of the pumpkin patch” (I assumed that “Tall Man Jack” was an epithet)
“In this town // we call home // everyone hail to the ~Pumpkin Throne~”
I stand by these changes.

Libraries are really undersold these days.
I kind of expected my local library to be a ghost town, if not outright closed down. (The exterior is a little shabby)
But no, once I went inside it was clearly alive and well.

Remember, artists: when people say, “I’d buy a print of this,” they don’t mean it. That sentence itself is just a weird compliment that rarely converts to an actual print sale. It’s like if someone ate a very good hot dog and then said, “I could eat 10,000 of these right now.”

Maybe if I keep doing style master studies I’ll eventually feel ready to actually start making my own content again.

Finally getting more of a grip on sketching sci fi building design.
1) isometric paper makes it easy to pick vanishing points
2) simplify shading by using just two passes: ambient occlusion + major side planes
3) Take the shape of a real object and add a bunch of greebles to it

Finally got the ability that makes Hornet do this and I can’t remember the last time I laughed this hard at a video game.
It’s the “Batman holding a baby” effect, i.e. only funny because Hornet is such a stoic protagonist.
The way her body dangles uselessly is the cherry on top.
