Spotted in sunny Bury St Edmunds yesterday, Positive Pumpkin! *How* cute is this?! S/He is saying, 'Positive Pumpkin; I may be a tiny pumpkin, but I believe in you. Go do your thing!'

A charm of goldfinches. Just a lovely description of lovely birds!
I spotted this on a tree stump at @suffolkwildlife.bsky.social Lackford Lakes the other week. Funghi-spotting is my favourite activity this time of year.
I've been veggie since I was 15, so Bovril doesn't feature for me, but it certainly seems to have dropped from people's diets when it was very present in my childhood (58F). Mind, our snack at one point was sugar and cinnamon on toast, also something I don't know anyone else having!
I didn’t sleep very well last night. One of the many dreams was about making stop-motion animation of the (toy) mice in my dollhouse. Even while dreaming, I knew this was a rubbish idea.

Would you like to join me in Sunny Suffolk to explore the science of happiness through the filter of faith? Does God want us to be happy? Spoiler alert - yes! We'll then be looking at *why* ?

There will be refreshments throughout the day, and fish-and-chip lunch is also included in the price.
There are eight house sparrows in the #birdbath by my home office. I'm not sure if this is a record, but it's definitely evidence that water is as important for our wildlife as food.

Sorry, no photo as I didn't want to disturb them!

It’s the end of the bank holiday weekend, & what exciting things have been happening in the party-zone that is the Foster-Jennison household? Have we spent all weekend in the pub? At a festival? Visiting friends?

No.

Making plum jam & laying new Lino in the Futility Room.

Thanks for asking.
West Suffolk Hospital 'blanketeers' post box topper, Burry St Edmunds, Suffolk. Lovely! Helping make the hospital a more cheerful place, it certainly put a smile on my face, thank you

Today's prescription was for Vitamin Sea. A trip to sunny #Felixstowe, chip and mushy peas (of course!) and 3 hagstones. Altogether lovely, with my lovely husband.

I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning, enjoying your music choices, and looking forward to a lie-in tomorrow!
... and now I have shoe-envy! :-)
Morning, I'm awake but rather sleep deprived but your show always cheers me up :-)
Morning! Welcome back to Breakfast - I always enjoy your shows.
We progressed to corn stalks, if our paper straw efforts were good enough! I remember having to soak them to make them pliable, not brittle, and the particular smell they had.
It's a nonsense, isn't it? For children for whom this is time-critical, this could literally be a life-threatening delay :-(
Do I need any stationery? No. Did I buy some anyway? Yes. Will I do this again in the future? Very likely.

At primary school, we used to make these every autumn - very basic designs, not like this! - out of paper straws.
'Corn dollies' as part of European harvest customs, connecting to ancient beliefs involving goddess worship, fertility and the earth. Dolls were kept until the following spring to ensure a good harvest #Lammas

I was tempted to write, ‘true story’ but my brain decided I should say, ‘true faith’ instead. If you know, you know 😊🎧
In sunny Suffolk, we have a new and shiny ARFID service, which I got hysterically excited about. Only takes referrals for under 18’s. My ‘child’ is 21. Outta luck. 😬
I love that.

I used to collect one every time I visited a beach for my mum.

My most treasured one is from Derek Jarman's cottage in Dungeness. (I kept that one! :-) )
