I made a little script to send me notifications whenever one of my SteamVR devices stops charging. That should hopefully fix the problem of the powerbank in my pocket running out and the Quest suddenly losing charge without me noticing. Maybe it also helps someone else.

It's a bit of an ambiguous sentence I think. I would assume that queer and trans socialists predominantly use Bluesky, but Bluesky's userbase is not predominantly queer and trans socialists.

Tried running Handbrake on Linux today:

- Flatpak version: Doesn't open filepicker (???)
- Unofficial AppImage: Crashes when transcoding
- Version from apt: 100 years out of date

I guess that's a "no" then 🤷‍♂️

Electron apps can also interact with your PC in more ways than a website can (access the filesystem, devices, etc), so this isn't really the same.

No there's no regional pricing, it's always 10 USD. My point was that just by looking at a number like 42000 IRR you can't deduce that it's 4200x more expensive compared to USD.

But that doesn't really tell you anything, you need to look at the purchase power parity, not the nominal values. It's also more than 10 yen for example, but that doesn't mean people in Japan can't afford it.

I feel like in the grand scheme of things (VR & PC hardware, avatars & accessories, alcohol, etc) it should be fairly affordable though? I see the privacy aspect of sending your ID to Persona to be a much worse problem than paying a one time fee of 10 USD.

If you're careful about laying out your space you could use multiple instances of AreaLit to get some nice looking reflective surfaces. There are lots of limitations of course, but with some planning and scripting you could probably make something crazy looking.

Just watched Kpop Demon Hunters and even though I have no connection to k-pop whatsoever, the movie is absolutely fantastic. Stunning visuals, beautiful story and some banger tracks as well.
