Same, there is always so much crap with generated code from design software.

Also, they never resize properly if you don't add the appropriate attributes manually. Let's not talk about how colour values do not play nice with CSS.
Apparently I am one of those rare weirdos who won’t let an SVG onto my page without at least opening it in a text editor. In particular, I've learned not to trust the code from Adobe Illustrator (never trust Adobe).

Firefox' "Enhanced Tracking Protection" is breaking my access to so many sites that I'm considering ditching the browser I prefer.

This movie is an uneven mix of 2, 3 maybe 4 things. Feels like I was watching a 2 hour short film showcased in an artsy gallery. Sometimes great, often noisy, sometimes slow and boring. Just like Pavement.

Years ago, likely in the 1970s, my uncle (mom's brother) made a mix tape for my dad.

There is no track listing so I'll be using Shazam a lot I guess.

It starts with "Heather" by Billy Cobham — ambiant and jazzy.

Let's see where this goes!

New book for morning reading. Rosenfeld always publishes useful books to manage design collaboration.

The bookmark is a creation from my mom — she creates collages from old magazines.

Pocket is shutting down.

Yet another useful tool disappears.

As usual, I will not be looking for a replacement, I'll either build my own alternative or just stop doing whatever that service offered.

A reminder of how these assholes behaved when we stole THEIR shit. They came for kids’ MP3s. House raids. Absolute terror. So no, we’re not gonna let you steal OUR shit.

Streaming services — music or video — that hide recent listens/watches to peddle their own suggestions or their own features misunderstand their services need to be easier and more useful than piracy to be useful.

I have French subtitles for Human Movie, which for technical reasons were not shown at last night's screening. But if anyone else wants to show the film in France or Quebec, we have subtitles! And if it's after August, I can have a French voice over. Reach out here if interested ⬇️
Human Movie: Six Meditations on a Compression Algorithm (2025) — Cybernetic Forests.
A dreamlike experimental video essay using found footage, compression artifacts, and glitched AI imagery to disentangle the human mind from the metaphors of mind as applied to generative AI.

So, to prevent a would-be king to take over Canada, an actual king from a foreign country will come here to address the serfs of his dominion?

Fuck monarchy, now and always, foreign and local.

WestJet, a Canadian Airline, is unable to accept accents in its text fields. The error that occurs then shows me a stupid message and a RegEx.

It's 2025, I can't believe front-end developers still churn out such unacceptable non-sense.

I've been on a Steve Reich discovery streak lately.

While I love "Music for 18 Musicians" and "Desert Music", I think "Electric Counterpoint" with Pat Metheny touched me a bit more quickly. Likely because it's written for electric guitar, an instrument I play.
