Not surprised in the least.
Breaking NYT:

The Pentagon used a secret aircraft painted to look like a civilian plane in its first boat attack, according to officials briefed on the matter.

The laws of armed conflict forbid combatants from feigning civilian status.

That is a war crime called "perfidy."

ICE is filled with nothing but cowards and thugs.
January 8, 2026 at 2:26 AM
ICE is not law enforcement.

ICE is a domestic terrorist organization led by a corrupt head of state that should be sitting in prison.

Fun fact. My first "enterprise" app... And the thing that got me started in my career, was a document management system written in Excel, where the forms were all digitized copies created as excel sheets, for the casino I worked at as a graveyard shift security dispatcher fresh out of highschool.

Way to put absolute minimal effort Random Amazon delivery guy. He pulled up, didn't even get out of the car. Leaned out and dropped the box on the ground and left it there.

If you know what this is, and if you've ever had to get one unjammed before, congratulate me. This was perhaps one of the worst ones I've ever seen. Literally broke three separate pitman pullers before we managed to actually get it broken free. Ultimately required torching, a puller, and a fork...

ICE is best when it's crushed.
They cannot be given authority to forcibly remove anyone from their vehicle this way. Think about how bad actors would abuse this power.

javascript in depth by @jasnell.me is written so that newer devs can think & build like vets.

it digs into engines, runtimes, & the design choices behind the language.

ICE is not law enforcement. ICE is state sponsored terrorism.
Last week, ICE arrested and separated a father and son after a routine check-in. Six-year-old Yuanxin had just enrolled in the first grade at an elementary school in Astoria. Now he's in custody, alone. ICE won't say where. This cruelty serves no one. It must end.

ok so... I'm writing a book. It's called JavaScript In Depth (www.manning.com/books/javasc...) ... the first four chapters are available by Manning.

This has been a difficult project and will continue to be so. The reason is that it isn't a How To book that focuses only on how to use the langauge
