I was a Hulu subscriber from the get-go, I've watched so many hours of it every week for 15+ years. I HATED having to cancel it. I don't even like Kimmel! But I can't support bowing to a fascist. If they can lose me, they can lose anybody.

With you all the way! Fall made me so depressed in Michigan. Since I was a kid I HATED winter, and fall was "impending winter." One thing that made it worse was people lecturing me about how I should feel differently; why just be depressed when I could also feel invalidated & alone

Also I don't think I ever saw the full De Palma cut of Carrie before?? That movie isn't just horror good, it's GOOD good! Cable robbed us of so much more than the boob scenes, it deflated the whole atmosphere.

I watch horror flicks all year, but in October my husband volunteers to join me. This weekend we watched HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and Brian De Palma's original theatrical cut of CARRIE and he loved them both! God I married well, I really did.

I don't have a doorbell cam, but my neighbor does, which is why he stormed out with his macho buddies to beat me up for standing too close to his truck until he realized I had paused to let my 12 yr old dog sniff an interesting rock.

I lived a half block north of Detroit's famous 8 Mile & worked in Detroit for years, no major crimes whatsoever. I lived on 100 acres in rural North Branch MI & my 80 yr old neighbor was murdered & had her fingers cut off by her grandson's buddy who wanted to steal her jewelry.

Honorable mention to the pharm tech who realized that my insurance rejected my Rx because my doc ordered the wrong quantity & fixed it without even calling me. They didn't even know I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown after fighting for weeks to get that Rx

I've been thinking about this a lot, & the biggest thing my husband did was believe me. My whole life I'd been told I was being dramatic, looking for attention, trying to get out of doing things, just "take a Midol & grow up, everybody's period hurts." He actually took me at my word & believed me.

Sometimes the best way to show people that you aren't personally the one they're talking about, is to not take it personally & let people vent. Acknowledge that a lot of people who look like you really suck even if you don't. Sincerely, a white Gen X woman

Hi! Security expert here! You can go to No Kings, with your phone. Take pictures! Have fun! Make a cool sign. Wear a silly costume. Wear a mask if that makes you feel more comfortable.

If attending a rally is enough to get you arrested, we're in a different place and you'll get arrested anyways
