King cakes for a work thing. There is a multicultural #Lego minifig in each one. Haha.

Making king cakes with cream cheese filling. Smells good!

New Writing Group Me is also Getting Back to Dancercising Me. It's like being in a constant manic upswing but without the energy.

I'm tired. Terd.

But I do feel more mentally stable and happy with myself.

Made potpies with leftover turkey. Really excited about the salad, though. I picked five different kinds of lettuce! #cookingsky

Happy to report my garden survived the extended freeze. It was worth the work of protecting it. I really enjoy getting greens from the backyard and I can't lose my daikon. Wish I didn't have bad luck with the carrots this year.

Hey, guys. I love ya.

Got a $5 turkey around Thanksgiving and stuck it in the freezer. Wanted something homey to eat tonight so I brined it and roasted it.

Hope you are taking time to blow off steam, chill out and refuel. Made some ramen noodles for a spicy coconut soup and adding goodness from the garden.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

Georgia Fort, an independent journalist and vice president of the Minnesota NABJ chapter, was also arrested by federal agents this morning

I was sent this video of agents at her door:

I managed to get a fresh MMR vaccine today. We've got cases in Jax, FL. In the CHILDRENS HOSPITAL.

Last doc wouldn't give me one because I had one in the 70s. Nah, doc. I need my Measles topped off. The American people are full-Jiffy now. It's not just feet - the whole American spirit is crusty AF.

Charging a Black journalist under the KKK Act for reporting on a protest is a whole new level of fucked up.

A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.

Kuroda Hidehiko was thinking about Kansas again. About cornfields and Kevin Costner. Failure and amber waves of grain. He couldn’t stop humming showtunes. This always happened when he was depressed.

I'm trying to mind fark myself. I keep telling myself the best way to respond to anger and hurt is to exercise and write. I'm not sure it's true but I'm angry a lot and I need to lose weight and write stuff. I am also susceptible to my own mental voodoo, at least for a while.

Women in spandex gyrating on the floor in exercise class is not what I want.

Cosplayers, muscle babes, blerds, scholars, geeks, artisans, DANCERS... all great.

Please no more leotard soft porn. Yuck.

This is probably going to make it worse, isn't it?

Started exercising again. It's annoying how much it elevates my mood.

But I do love Just Dancing as Dr. Strange and telling some alien chick to save her tears.

Working on a story that has been more demanding than usual. Much more. But it's finally starting to live on its own. Structure is emerging and the right title floated to the top. That's always nice, when you know the title is IT.
