So, “Order of the Sinking Star” by Thekla was just announced, which takes several small free games (two of which are mine) and gives them a major graphical upgrade and mashes up their rulesets. I haven’t been very involved but it’s a great concept and looks cool.

(GenAI is wrong A LOT. And even though people tend to think it saves time, we now have randomized controlled trials that show situations where it takes *more* time even when participants self-report it's saving them time.)

I was feeling a little burnt out on bug fixing and prototyping, so I took a detour make the moment-to-moment gameplay feel just a little bit better with vfx.

Worked like a charm to build some development momentum 😤
switching tasks can really be a huge help sometimes.
