After that I'll go through and explain which translations worked best for each subtitle - what were the best approaches and why! We'll make adjustments to the subtitles as necessary, and then when we're finished, we'll have a nice set of polished subs for our scene😃

We'll then go through and choose certain translations as the subtitles for our scene - I'll pop them right into our subtitling software so that you can see how they look as subtitles! Your translation might make it on the screen😁

You'll then be given some time to work on your own and come up with translations for some lines from the scene. You'll type your ideas into a Google spreadsheet - feel free to look up any words or phrases using any resources you have at your disposal!

For the trial lesson, we'll start by learning some more about the J-E media translation industry, along with some basics of English subtitle translation, like formatting and character limits.

I'll then show you the film scene we'll be working with and give some background info.

This week, the Beginner class is working on their second manga translation assignment! It's even more challenging than the first one, so they're learning a lot😁

The Advanced class is now all finished with the course（お疲れ様でした🥹） and is currently working on the final translation trial! 頑張ってください～！💪
