My dog is a cocker spaniel with a inbuilt clock so always knows when it is walk time... Writing flow or not, I cannot ignore this face 😂

I also find the little and often approach can work well to maintain writing momentum, even if it is just a 10 min 'free writing' block.

I take my dog for a walk when I hit a difficult bit of writing. If really stuck, then I sound out the ideas with a co-author to get a different perspective. What do other people do? Let's build a list! #acwri #academicsky

Not sure about posting a reprint of your next journal article? Informative thread below for #academicsky & #openresearch of any career stage, particularly early.

I was also cautious of doing preprints at first but now see the benefits & also encourage pre-registrations & protocols.

I have a couple of papers I’m considering posting as a preprints. I’ve noticed language on allowing preprints at a lot of target journals I consider. Interested in people’s opinions on submitting preprints for early career folks. Especially in Population Health and Epidemiology #EpiSky #AcademicSky
