It's the last day of 100hours.online ! If you have clear skies, pop outside or peek out a window and see if you can complete any challenges to add to our stargazing map. Best region looks like the North East and up to Aberdeenshire but there are gaps in the clouds in other places too.

Also they survive largely off ticket income, so if you want more in rural areas that needs reliable government funding

Mostly those are just areas with higher population; they're actually pretty well spread out given where the people are

If you've got clear skies, go outside and wave at our neighbour who is looking particularly stunning tonight. And if you have them, root out the binoculars to get a closer look at the grey maria: ~3.5 billion years ago these were seas of molten lava 🤓 #supermoon 🔭🧪

I don't know who needs to hear this, but please stop blowing that poor recorder so hard. It doesn't 'just sound like that', that squawkiness is the sound of it calling out for help.

I'll be at Norman Lockyer Observatory in Sidmouth tonight talking about 100 Hours at their public observing event. I've heard the view through their telesope is AMAZING (and I heard that from a keen amateur astronomer who's played with a lot of telescopes) normanlockyer.com

I found it because I talked the problem through to bf, reducing options, saying 'it should be in here', then looking in the cupboard as imagined through his eyes. Brains are weird.

I found it!!!! It was in one of the first places I looked (in a cupboard alongside wrapping paper and rolled up anatomical wall charts) BUT I had totally forgotten it was inside its cardboard box - I was looking for black canvas

Ok so if you needed to clear/declutter your flat and had to hide a 100 Hours roll-up banner somewhere, where would YOU put it? I'm all out of ideas. Am just about ready to open up the sofabed to make sure it's not hidden inside.

The 100 Hours map is going bonkers with people picking their marker and setting their location to get ready for the event! By pre-registering you can save doing it on the night, but also get us super excited to see you popping up on the map. Join in at 100hours.online
