If you are running for office and not promising trials on these sorts of people, you won't get my vote.

She should never be able to hold another job or go out in public.
wow -- Bondi throws a fit in response to Nadler's question about how many of Epstein's co-conspirators, if any, she's investigating, aggressively pointing at him and yelling. The hearing then devolves into chaos and Raskin and Bondi start yelling at each other.

Why would I keep your actions a secret to protect you from the consequences you deserve?

Had someone on X kindly suggest that the historical way to me/us to apologize for system downtime was to commit ritual suicide and realized that's a first for me.

Shared it with two women I respect very much, and their response was "So, a regular day on the internet as a woman?" and that hit hard.

I don't understand why people still have Amazon devices in their houses. How many times do they have to prove they are trading you convenience for money AND data, and that some of the data is actively hurting brown people in your community?

Maybe you just don't care.
People on Reddit are getting Amazon to refund their Ring products because of their partnership with Flock and that creepy Super Bowl ad

Libertarians are just privileged lazy voters who don't care much about politics until something impacts them directly, so when even they are going off on the Red Team, maybe it's a sign that things are really, really bad.

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

Fuck Ring. "We'll help you find your dog.....and ICE find your neighbor, and the police find brown people..... No thanks.

Almost every time someone says confidently, "This is clearly the future" it's really just them not being able to say, "I was wrong and behind before, and if I'm going to be wrong again, I'd rather be wrong and ahead."

Courage is the willingness to show up and be all in when you cannot predict the outcome.

Be a little brave. You never know what might happen.

Remember when @resist.bot was literally overflowing elected representatives with mail and e-mail and voice mails? Good times. We could use that now, as much as we ever did.
If you're nervous about calling your representatives, there is an app called "5 Calls" that provides scripts on a range of issues (like defunding ICE!). Just read the script. Most likely you'll just end up leaving a voicemail, and you're done.

It's not scary. Do it now.

Fuck ICE

Today at @github.com we're rolling out a new issues search in preview.

In internal testing, the average list position has improved by 39% with the new semantic search in addition to returning more matching results!

The point of a system is what it does.
Across six top large language models, xAI’s Grok performed the worst at identifying and countering antisemitic content, according to a study published Wednesday by the Anti-Defamation League.

Two months and one sleep study later, to prove that I don't have a condition that there's no chance I ever had, just to make an endocrinologist happy. Meanwhile it's been 18 months of feeling like shit waiting for some explanation.

The US healthcare system is a travesty.

Was helping to build a Spotify playlist for work and came across this absolute banger, made with me by someone who was so excited to finally get away from an abusive situation. I sure hope she's doing okay; I was a big fan of hers. 🫶

This breaks my heart. We shouldn't have to live like this...and no one should ever have to die like *that*. What have we become? 💔

Of all the things that surprise me the least, the right abandoning any pretense that the 2nd Amendment was ever a thing that mattered is at the absolute bottom of the list. As soon as black and brown and trans and [checks notes] VA nurses started using those rights, they became a reason to kill.
