Just made plans to do some important research for my company tomorrow. Going to see the new Tron movie to see if the NIN music will be the next, great coding soundtrack.

My 3rd grade daughter is almost impossible to get going in the mornings when she doesn't want to go to school or a soccer game. But she's got nothing on me when it's time for me to do significant refreshes of technical documentation!

Had a client cancel a meeting because they solved their own problem first. Think that's justification for me to go wander off to the Pinball arcade

Partly because conservatives are boycotting him, but mostly because this song just hits me in the feels every single time:

I was curious and went through this list:

Plenty of songs by bands I like, but I didn't know the exact song.

I recognized 95/250. I think I'd purposely play 32 of those, and another 25 show up on some of my music streams.

Got a draft of a blog post that was meant to be "advice for folks building a new software project" that is really turning into "Everything I Needed To Know I learned from Extreme Programming"

Guess I'm so disconnected these days that I didn't realize the JetBrains live streaming event was today when I scheduled a new CritterStack stream early this morning:

We'll still do that just to get it recorded

I don't like being older now, but there's a certain joy in reconnecting with people you haven't talked to in a long time that you obviously can't get as a young person

Left Pandora on a "Mellow Classic Rock" station this weekend through today. I will shamelessly say that I remember being a little kid and loving this song when it came on in my parents Chrysler Cordoba:

Blogging wouldn't be worth the time at all if it weren't for LinkedIn engagement from cross posting. Or maybe that's just me:)

Just checked. Looks like that's my main source other than web searches now. Still far, far less than the "Morning Brew" used to be, and maybe about 2-3 orders of magnitude less then the pre-Twitter RSS feeds used to bring in back in the day

So admittedly, traffic to my blog is just about nothing compared to 10 or 15 years ago, but I'm starting to see almost as much traffic coming from BlueSky as I do from Twitter now

I wonder if he actually believes this or if he knows he's lying. Or what he actually does believe. I'm not convinced that he actually does know that what he's saying here is untrue

Mike Johnson: "Let me look right into the camera and tell you very clearly: Republicans are the ones concerned about healthcare. Republicans are the party working around the clock everyday to fix healthcare. This is not talking points for us: we've done it."

My local Torchy's got wireless for the first time. This might be bad for me.

Trying to convince myself to run through the finish line and work productively until 5pm on this fine Friday afternoon, but this came on and it honestly sounds like a better plan (after making dinner for the family of course):

I loathe it when people use the phrase "common sense" as a shortcut in any kind of argument about complex matters.

Think it's also common sense that we'd all like to have a livable planet too though.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright: "Reducing the CO2 emissions, that's expensive but really wholly unnecessary. Extremely expensive, very little benefit from that. Again, it's just returning common sense. Americans want affordable energy."

Remembering that Kansas did actually have more than Carry On Wayward Son and Dust in the Wind, but I've gotta be in the right mood for them

Heard this in the car this morning and that led to playing their greatest hits album.

If you said to me "conjure up your image of what the 70's looked like" I'd immediately think of their lead singer in this video
