Hello new peeps 👋! I’m a lawyer and legal tech guy, with a focus on contracts, artificial intelligence, effective lawyering, and the future of law.

sample documents, this could be useful.

And clearly (see picture) there is a difference between the template and the AI-created documents.
I've drafted Draft of Liability Waiver. This document was generated using AI and may not meet the same quality or reliability standards as our verified templates.

And probably EDGAR. There's also a number of organizations that appear to have provided templates as well, such as Open Legal Library and EasyLegalDocs.

If you need a starting point AND know what you're doing. Or if you got stuck and wanted to see across a range of

Okay. I think I've figured this out. It's using all public / CC documents, which is good. If you ask for something from a standard template, it seems to be able to reproduce those.

Where it definitely has issues is with generation of new documents. That looks like a combination of MAUD and CAUD

Hold on - I apparently came into your thread from a partial view, and I'm now seeing everything else. Looking through this now...

It looks like the entire project is currently a variant of Common Paper (note that I'm affiliated with Bonterms, a similar standardization project).

The underlying terms are sound, and the way that they were developed and drafted was for lawyers to complete (and who know what these terms mean/do).

Hiring the right people and listening to them is, uh, helpful? (They've hired some of the team behind @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social, I believe.)

"So, Democrats have three words for this: no fucking way. It's literally life or death. We will not let Republicans blow up our health care system."

This is, hands down, the best comms work Chuck Schumer has done in YEARS. Surprisingly good.

Listen, if you can't launch a public, undercover operation against something that doesn't exist, via press release on a microblogging site, can you really call it an undercover operation?

I don't know, but as a patriotic, freedom-loving American, I think Trump is Trash:

1) Brain-dead tariffs wrecking the US economy
2) Harming healthcare & science, and assaulting our public health and services, and
3) wannabe tin-pot fascist dictator tramping the Constitution and the Rule of Law

Hey, suckers, what if it turned out that "being a man" and "manning up" meant taking responsibility for your actions and then taking steps to correct what you've done?

“I voted for none of this."

Prominent influencers, including Theo Von, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Schulz, are starting to distance themselves from the president they helped propel to the White House.

@mszafranski.bsky.social - the article, roughly, was that "millennials are spoiled and are lashing out" and "that's why they don't understand how good Trump is and why they should be happy to have less money than their wealthier parents, etc."
jerrylevine.com
That's a really, really good point! I read an article by someone who is a "reporter" or opinion columnist for the Free Press, and my initial thought was "this is free of all facts, but it sounds very enthusiastic."

Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I think Jared's correct with respect to Weiss. I think Klein is very smart... but lacks any sort of emotional intelligence or capacity for rational thought beyond "why can't we all just be friends"
jysexton.bsky.social
Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.

If a judge reminds you that "you are an officer of this court" you should really think about whether you want to sleep in your own bed that evening.

We are going to need to train a whole new generation of lawyers on legal ethics and obeying court orders

Some of you may need to hear this: Very few of us have had to do this before, especially if you were born and raised in the USA. Don't underestimate how hard this is for so many people.

This is kind of why it makes me crazy to see people on the left essentially say democrats should do the same as Trump except in reverse. Trump’s actions more or less do not recognize that we inhabit a nation. They are attempting a soft secession and servitude of Dem states, and we are the unionists.
jamellebouie.net
all presidential administrations are partisan, but trump and the people in his white house are partisans bordering on sectarians, and one result is that they see nothing of actions that strain and weaken the union itself

Picked the wrong state to mess with on day one of your shutdown.

NJ Democrats sent a clear message today.

NJ Republicans remain silent while the Administration continues to harm our state.

Kid: Mr. K isn’t our gym teacher anymore. Ms. F said he can’t tell us what happened, so I looked him up to see if he was dead.
