With reproductive and sexual healthcare under attack throughout the country, California is leading the way in protecting access to abortions, gender-affirming care, and patient privacy. I am proud to have received a 100% score from Planned Parenthood @ppactionca.bsky.social.

Trump’s unlawful actions to remove Maduro isn’t about saving Venezuela, it’s about imposing imperialism to gain access to oil. At a time when the federal administration has failed to address affordability at home, the last thing we need is more destabilizing foreign wars.

Happy New Year! 2026 is setting up to be a busy year as we double down on efforts to address affordability and protect Californians from harmful cuts from the federal administration. What policies and actions do you want to see the State pursue this year?

Plans for a Veterans Affairs clinic and cemetery at Alameda, which received $395M in federal funds with bipartisan support, was suddenly axed by the Trump administration. The 270,000 veterans that call the Bay Area home deserve better than this betrayal. alamedapost.com/news/we-figh...

As Jewish families around the world light the first candle of the menorah this evening, let that light remind us of the resiliency that outshines the darkness. As we mourn the horrific attack in Sydney, we must commit ourselves to overcoming antisemitism and all forms of hate.
