Buttigieg: Some say you can’t talk about any of the things that were wrong about America because that must mean you hate America. To me, anytime we talk about something that wrong, it’s because some of the finest moments that brought out the greatest character of this country is how we put it right.

Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system against your opponents is an authoritarian tactic.

34-time convicted fraudster Donald Trump launches an invasion of Minneapolis on the pretext of stopping fraud, and then fires all the fraud prosecutors and grants his sixtieth pardon to a large-scale fraudster. If you believe his pretexts, you're extremely gullible.

The double pardon really gives away the game. Adriana Camberos started her second round of fraud just weeks after her first pardon. She was charged, convicted, imprisoned…and pardoned again. Trump supporters are permitted unlimited crimes, while the rest of us can get beaten by the secret police.
President Trump quietly issued clemency grants this week, including to a California woman he had pardoned once before and a man whose daughter had donated millions to a Trump super PAC.
