I wish more Americans were like Values. I wish they reacted calmly and checked facts before speaking. Everything about these three tweets stands out for how sane they are compared with the president and his supporters
Okay.

A lot of Afghans risked their lives to help our troops in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan fell in August 2021, during Biden’s term but after Trump signed an agreement w/the Taliban to pull all US troops from the country and freeing 5,000 Taliban prisoners. Who went on to topple Kabul the next year.

There are currently fewer indictments for child exploitation because federal resources have been transferred away from finding and prosecuting exploiters to assisting with mass deportations. This administration is letting child exploiters go free

Now adding an asterisk to organizations corrupted by Trump:

DOJ*
FBI*
DOD*
HHS*
CDC*
...
etc.
It only costs a single character and reminds the reader that the organization has a different function now

There is NO FUCKING EXCUSE for this to be happening.

I had a baby die in my arms of pertussis some fifty years ago. It was a HORRIBLE death. But my fellow nurses said to me, "It's almost stamped out now, they're all getting the shots, we won't be seeing this again."

HOW THE FUCK ARE WE HERE. 😡
A third infant has died in Kentucky, KYDPH adds:

“These are Kentucky’s first pertussis deaths since 2018. None of the infants nor their mothers received the recommended pertussis vaccinations during pregnancy or early infancy.”

So, a senior Justice Department official — along with several members of Congress — used the authority of their offices to boost an obviously dubious conspiracy theory accusing a federal employee of a horrific crime.

And now it’s clear the allegation was baseless.

The BBC removed a line about Trump being the most openly corrupt president in American history...from a lecture about the cowardice of today's elites.
I wonder if the BBC has heard of the Streisand Effect
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Appealing the dismissal instead of re-indicting is a way to kick the can down the road and avoid a lot of short-term humiliation over the other flaws in the case.
Leavitt: “We believe the attorney in this case, Lindsey Halligan, is not only extremely qualified…but she was in fact legally appointed. And I know the DOJ will be appealing this in very short order.”

Because Trump is the weakest U.S. president in history
One thing that is not getting enough attention is that Trump has normalized the idea of the United States supporting the transfer of territory and millions of people from a democracy to a dictatorship.
The ending of freedom for millions is now the official US position.
