“Everyone says he is crazy – which maybe he is – but the scarier thing about him is that he is stupid. You do not know anyone as stupid as Donald Trump. You just don’t.” --Fran Lebowitz

A video of Alex Pretti reading out the final salute of an unnamed veteran he cared for until the end of his life in the ICU, posted to Facebook by his son.

Thanks to multiple video angles, I actually think their in-your-face lying helps radicalize people to our cause. More and more people who usually avoid politics are speaking out. Some folks here talked about this tonight; this was from earlier this week...

Beyond helping establish DHS itself in 2003, Mr. Mitnick was a senate-confirmed Trump choice for General Counsel for DHS in his first term. I've talked with him a few times, and he's not a man for hyperbole. So bear that in mind when you see him calling out DHS's "lawlessness, fascism, and cruelty."

This woman was five feet from Pretti when he was shot, she's scared to go home because of what they'll do when they find her, and, despite this, she is determined to bear witness. She is the best of us. There is hope as long as there are Americans like her

Also, heartfelt thanks to every witness who is providing sworn statements to Minnesota's authorities. This woman is now scared to return home for fear of what these lying, murderous agents will do when they find her

MURDER.
Here comes the video analysis:
- Pretti was shot 10 times after they took his gun
- He never "brandished" the gun, assaulted an agent
- They repeatedly pepper sprayed him at point blank range and beat him when he was down
- He was attempting to help a woman who an agent threw to the ground (battery)

This was murder. Pretti did not initiate the confrontation. He didn’t strike them. He didn’t brandish his gun. They tackled him, beat him, disarmed him, and shot him.
Holy crap.

This is the most damning video yet.

It shows Border Patrol agents clearly taking Alex's firearm, running it away, and THEN executed him in cold blood by emptying a clip into his face.

Murder.

The Trump regime thought everyone secretly agreed with them: they were wrong. They thought everyone would cower when they arrived in cities in force: they were wrong. They thought everyone would stop fighting back when they started killing people: they are wrong.

Fascism always does this.

Nonviolence is, in fact, working. This administration is weaker than it was a year ago. More and more of the public is becoming galvanized against it; its agents are being impeded.
Do you honestly think people in the civil rights movement and other nonviolent movements faced no violence themselves? They practiced nonviolence because it works, because the oppressor wants a shooting war, which is the war it will win
How's your non-violent working Mr Gandhi stancil? They will kill each and everyone of you right if they had the chance and you will still be writing Kumbaya.

I'm seeing people mistakenly claim the gun photo was posted before today, but its just how Google sometimes dates images based on the original date of the thread its posted in, not when it was posted. The photo was posted an hour ago in this 5 day old thread

Heartfelt thanks to the lady in pink and to everyone taking video. Trump is itching to invoke the Insurrection Act, and the only thing stopping him is that we've had clear, multi-angle video proving they are lying. The first time a shooting is ambiguous, he'll act. And there will be more shootings

Pretti clearly did not brandish his gun. Which means the government is saying he was killed for legally exercising his right to carry.

It’s as clear-cut a violation of the Second Amendment as I can possibly imagine. And we’re about to see the bulk of the gun rights crowd defend his murder.

This. A real president would be appealing for calm. Trump never does that, he only escalates. The only time he eve grudgingly called for calm was when everybody forced him to in the afternoon on Jan 6, and it was clear he hated doing it. Now, he will try to pour gasoline on the fire
Pritzker: "An American president should be standing up, calling for calm. That's not what this president ever does. In fact, he wants the temperature to go up. Why? Because what he's looking for is an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act, to bring actual troops into American cities."

The unc who went viral a few weeks ago protesting in MN is back: "5 shots they put into that man's body. How do you look me in the eye and tell me you can justify this? I'm a veteran. I swore an oath back in 1969 to protect this country against all enemies foreign and domestic. This is unbelievable"

Also important to remember that these people are only even focused on MN in particular in the first place because their Governor had the gall to run a campaign against Trump. There is nothing uniquely dangerous about that city or state.

Once again, immigration is not even a problem. Immigrants are not more criminal, they don't cost jobs, they don't harm the economy. There is no reason for any of this. It is hurting ourselves to hurt them.

The 1st time I watched the lady in pink's video, I missed what happened. The 2nd time, I saw that the protester's hands were empty when the agent drew his gun. Finally, this 3rd angle proves the protester was shot after an agent took his gun away. Here's the short video of this:
January 24, 2026 at 8:28 PM
Bellingcat's initial analysis is that a federal agent took the protester's gun from him, after which the second federal agent shot the protester. That's certainly how it looked to me
Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...
